Why I Joined Weight Watchers (Again)

I know, I know, I’m a hypocrite. I said I’d never start a ‘diet’ again and at the time I meant that. If you want to read that post then you can do so here.

So, I joined Weight Watchers again. This isn’t because I hate my body because I don’t. This is because I want to get healthy, I want to get fit and I want to be able to walk up the stairs without getting tired (I can’t believe I just shared how unfit I am with the entire internet to read).

This time, my goal isn’t to get a skinny body. My goal is to get a healthy body. I want to live a long, healthy life and if joining Weight Watchers is the way that I can do that then so be it.

My goal is to lose 4 stone. I joined a week and a half ago which means that I already had my first weigh in. I managed to lose five and a half lbs in a week. This is pretty impressive for me since the odds are against me.

I have PCOS (a post to come about that soon) and I also take a lot of medication. All these things together make it pretty hard for me to lose weight and very easy for me to gain it.

Can you be body positive while losing weight?

If you asked me this question a month or two ago, I would have said no. I would have told you that you should love your body no matter what size you are.

But now I’m going to tell you something different. You CAN be body positive and trying to lose weight. Being body positive is about loving your body and wanting the best for it.

So, I’m going to lose weight and I’m still going to love myself.
