Travel Your Way To Better Health

A lot of the time, when people think about going on holiday, they don’t instantly think of all the health benefits that will come with going on that holiday. If you’re thinking of going on holiday, you might be thinking of how much time you’ll have to relax and how much fun you’ll have. What you might not realise is that fun and relaxation both have an impact on your health.

Mental Health

Spending time away from work, stress and just day-to-day life can be absolutely wonderful for your mental health. By relieving the stress of work, you will get to fully relax and enjoy yourself. You’ll feel more care-free and at peace.

One of the best times for my mental health was on my recent holiday to Disneyland Paris. I felt like there was no stress and I could just surround myself in the Disney magic without having to worry about home life.

Physical Health

I know that when you go on holiday, your physical health and fitness is probably the last thing that you want to think about. The goal of a holiday is to be as lazy and eat as much as possible. However, for the people who care about their fitness, most hotels have gyms that are free to use which means you can work out in a whole new way. Not only will working on become fun because you’re in a good mood from your holiday but you’ll also get to use the opportunity to lose weight, gain muscle or get healthier depending on your goals. Along with this, holidays are the perfect time to do a lot of walking. It doesn’t sound fun when you say walking but if you think about it, you get to explore new places and new sites that you might never be able to see again.

I really hope that this post inspires you to book a holiday, explore the work and improve your health both physically and mentally. So what are you waiting for? Go and book that last minute holiday now!

Great post and I LOVE your picture from Disneyland, you look so happy. Disneyland + Paris in general last year was my happy trip, it was just an incredible trip and I didn’t stop smiling the whole time. I agree, getting away is great for both your physical and mental health.

Any excuse to go on holiday is a good one in my opinion! I actually really enjoy getting active on holiday as it prevents you from feeling sluggish and gross after piling your plate at the buffet! I love going to spa hotels for a short break as they always have good gyms with a range of equipment! Fab post with lots of good ideas!
