My Night Time Skincare Routine

It took me so long to perfect my night time skincare routine but I can say that it’s definitely worth taking the time to find the right routine for you. I am such a lazy person when it comes to getting ready for bed. All I want to do if get into bed with the day’s makeup on and deal with it in the morning. Sadly, my skin really won’t thank me for that.

I try to use as few products as possible because all those products just get complicated. Before I even start on my skincare, I always throw my hair up into a messy bun because it just makes it so much easier to apply the products without little hairs getting stuck to your face.

I wash my makeup off with the Garnier micellar cleansing water. I apply a good amount to a cotton pad to remove the majority of my makeup. What I love the most about this product is that it doesn’t have a pungent smell like many make up removers do. The smell that it does have it actually quite pleasant. I find that if I get this product in my eyes it doesn’t burn. It also doesn’t leave my face red and puffy which I often find happens as I have very sensitive skin.

After using the cleansing water, I run some warm water in the sink and apply two pumps of the Liz Earle cleanse and polish to my face. I try to do this process slowly to make sure that I really massage the product into all areas on my skin avoiding the eyes. I then gently wipe off the product using a muslin cloth. Instantly my face feels a lot cleaner and softer. I have very combination skin and this products works great whether I’m having an oily skin day or a dry skin day. Me and my mum actually both use this product and she swares by it too.

After using the cleanse and polish, I then go on to use the Liz Earle gentle face exfoliator. I don’t actually use this everyday as it’s probably not good to exfoliate constantly. I use this product every other day. I apply only a small amount by gently rubbing it into the skin in circular motions. The balls in the exfoliator are perfectly round so they are not harsh on the skin. I then carefully wipe the product off with my muslin cloth again. All the flakey, dry, dead skin is gone and my face feels so much more healthy.

I then go on to use the Liz Earle instant boost skin tonic. I apply a small amount to a cotton pad and smooth over my face and neck. This product helps to remove any missed dirt or any balls left on my face from the exfoliator. It perfectly preps my face for the next step. I think my favourite thing about this product is the smell. I could sniff it all day!

My favourite moisturiser is the Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser. This product is a little heavy so I only use it when my skin isn’t feel oily. I apply a tiny bit all over my skin after the skin tonic. It leaves it feeling so soft and hydrated the next morning. As with the rest of the Liz Earle products, this moisturiser smells so delicious.

If I am having a bad breakout day, I apply some of this Liz Earle oil (yay, free samples) to the problem area. When I wake up the next morning, my breakouts look a lot calmer and it makes me feel less like I need to cover my face in foundation to hide everything.

After using all these products, my face feels so nice the next day.

P.S. What products do you swear by in your night time routine?
