I have always found the difference between men and women’s clothing to be very shocking. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.
I have shopped in the men’s section of shops many of times. It used to actually be the only place that I shopped. I lived for leggings and a baggy t-shirt!
Now that I’m becoming a little more obsessed with clothing and fashion, I’ve been noticing some differences in men and women’s clothing. It’s making me so annoyed that I couldn’t help myself from writing a post about it.
First of all, why do all women’s clothes have to fit so tight?! Most clothes that you find in the women’s section of the shop will be body hugging. Can shops just start to appreciate that not all women want to have their clothes tightly fitted. I, personally, and I’m sure many others will agree, do not want my tops to cling to my hips, waist and boobs. I would much rather have a nice baggy top that I can move about in and stretch in without having to worry about what I’m flashing to the world.
The tightness of the clothing also seems to come with a low neckline. It’s as if clothing designers think that all women want to show their boobs off to everyone. Well guess what; not all women want the show off their boobs.
Secondly, why do the guys clothes have cool logos and tv shows on while women’s clothes have stupid stereotypes written in cursive font.
My little sister is obsessed with The Walking Dead. For her birthday, she got two t-shirts that were TWD related. Of course, these two tips had to be purchased from the men’s section since my mother and I couldn’t find TWD clothes anywhere in ladies sections. Like really??! Why?! News flash, just because someone has a vagina, doesn’t mean that they don’t want to wear cool The Walking Dead clothing!
One more thing, GIRLS WANT POCKETS IN THEIR CLOTHING TOO, OK?!
I’m not saying that this is the same with all clothing shops. It just seems to be the case in most of the shops that I go to.
