An Interview About Japanese Culture With Rene

It’s time for our second interview of the week but this time we are interviewing Rene.

So, onto the interview…

Introduce yourself! Who are you and what do you do in your spare time?

Hello! I’m Rene. I’m a student Studying Networks at Edinburgh Napier University and current President of Napier Anime Society. In my spare time I love watching anime, reading manga, running, and gaming.

What was your first experience with Japanese culture?

Probably when I was 5 Watching Dragon Ball the anime. Then Pokemon and Pokemon cards when I was a little older

What Japanese themed products can you never resist buying for yourself?

Haha so many, If I have spare cash I always buy anime Blue rays/DVD, as well as Manga and I also have a figure collection but there expensive so I buy like 3 a year. And if I see any at local stores and Conventions I always buy Japanese snacks and drinks like Ramune and Pocky

Have you ever been to Japan? If no, do you plan to?

I haven’t been but planning on going very soon, probably when I finish University

Where can we find you on the internet?

I currently have my own blog which you can read here or look for me on Twitter @ Therenchd . You are also free to join our Society Facebook group

Thank you so much to Rene for answering these questions and telling us some more about his life and love of Japanese culture.
