How To Use Pinterest To Grow Your Blog

If you’re not using Pinterest for your blog yet, why not? Pinterest has steadily become the largest source of referrals for many bloggers and online shops.

Here’s my advice for growing your blog through Pinterest…

Create a Pinterest business account

This gives you access to all kinds of analytics that you simply just don’t get from having a personal account. You can see how many of your pins are being clicked on and so much more. If you’ve already got a personal account then it can be easy to turn it into a business account.

Create pin-worthy images

This is very important when it comes to growing your blog or business through Pinterest. Create vertical, bright and beautiful images as they are the ones that are noticed more on Pinterest. You will have people clicking your images in no time.

Pin often

But don’t spam. I know how easy it is to sit on Pinterest and have a major re-pin session but avoid temptation. Pin often throughout the day so that you will be noticed more often.

Create a board for your blog

I have a board named ‘Eleanor May Blog’ and I pin all of my blog images to it. That way, even things that usually wouldn’t fit in my boards, have a place to go.

Install a Pin-it button

If your blog readers can’t easily pin your images they’re going to get frustrated. Make it easy for your followers to share your images by installing a pin-it button on your blog.

What tips do you have for helping bloggers grow through Pinterest?

This is very handy. I am not sure whether I will start using pinterest properly for my blog. Right now I struggle to balance new posts, twitter and instagram let alone any other platforms haha.
