Sigh, if only the office was cuter and helped me be more productive. That’s something that I think to myself on a regular basis. But I mean it. What if I could go into the office, sit at my desk and work, work, work.
So, how can we be more productive in the office without getting distracted?
Keep it tidy
Pick up all the clothes that you have lying on the floor and put away all the stuff you have lying around. A tidy space is a tidy mind after all. You want your space to be clean so you’re not distracted by all the things around you.
Get a glassboard
This is probably something that you wouldn’t think I would say but you should definitely buy a glassboard for your office. You can buy a magnetic glassboard and write everything that you need to get done on it. Get it up on the wall above your desk or anywhere you have space and get writing to-do lists, odd jobs and fun challenges. You can even use it to stick up photos as it’s magnetic so it can look pretty too.
Create a playlist
Create a playlist but make it something that isn’t too catchy. You don’t want to be stopping and dancing all over the place instead of actually working. Make it a playlist full of music with no words or songs that calm you and help you stay focused.
Have a schedule
You know when you have stuff to do everyday but you never seem to get it done because you don’t have a set time for it?! Well, change that. Set a time in the week for every task and actually stick to it. Then you can avoid walking around your office aimlessly.
