How I Learn Japanese

I have mentioned in a pervious post that I am currently learning Japanese. A lot of people asked me how I am doing that so I decided to write a blog post all about how I learn Japanese.

HiNative App. I wanted to start off by talking about this app because it is one of my favourite and newest discoveries. It’s an app where you can communicate with other people and learn from natives of Japan. I can ask any question such as ‘how do you say my favourite colour is pink’ and someone from Japan or someone who is fluent in Japanese will answer your question. I’m not sure if I explained that very well but you should definitely check it out.

YouTube. I have watched so many great videos on YouTube that helped me learn Japanese. I will link a few here: learn colours, learn days of the week, hiragana.

Pinterest. If you love learning visually then I reccomend learning Japanese through Pinterest. It has so many inforgraphics, illustractions, vocab cards and videos all helping you to learn Japanese.

Kana Quiz App. This is another app that I just couldn’t help but mention. The app is free to download and you can quiz yourself on hiragana and katakana. The only problem with this app is that you have to pay a little bit of money to download all the quizzes. I would say that it is definitely worth the money though.

Learn Japanese App. The last app that I want to mention is Learn Japanese. This is one of the first apps that I ever downloaded and I still haven’t deleted it. It’s an app that allows you to learn Japanese vocabulary through categories. For example, there’s a numbers category where you can press any number and someone will pronounce it for you.
