Why I Started Learning Japanese

Not too long ago I started the challenge of learning Japanese. It started as a fun hobby but over time, I got to know more about Japanese culture and fell in love so I started learning Japanese more seriously.

The Challenge

It is known that learning Japanese is one of the hardest things to do. That is one of the main reasons that I want to do it. I want to challenge myself and see how far I can get.

Understand Anime and Manga

Anime and manga definitely had an impact in me wanting to learn Japanese. Reading subtitles is fun and all but I would much prefer to understand what is going on all on my own.

Career Opportunities

It would be my absolute dream to move to Japan and become an English teacher. Because of this, learning Japanese is something that would be compulsory.

I have been told so many times that there’s no point in me learning Japanese because I will never be able to afford to travel there or because it’s too difficult to learn. But do you know what… fuck that!

I have a goal and I want to achieve it and I will achieve it. If you have a goal then don’t stop until you reach it. With motivation and persistency, you will get there!

And try to add some vocab from some event/tv show like anime’s seiyuu event?

And Japanese song (can try with your fav anime’s opening/ending themes maybe?) sometimes can help too.

Anime and manga are good start, but their conversation somehow not always same with the real life– that’s what I learn since I’m drowning into this world for a long time XD

(tbh I’m still learning and still stuck in Kanji ;w; )
