I have mentioned my lovely boyfriend, Simon a few times now on this blog. However, I never really told you too much about him.
I met Simon just over half a year ago now. That doesn’t sound like long but it actually feels like years (in a good way). I do see him most days and for some strange reason, we never get sick of each other. We always find something to do or talk about.
Simon is the most inspiring person that I have ever met. He suffers with Cerebral Palsy. If you don’t know what that is, Cerebral Palsy effects movement and co-ordination. It is caused by problems in the brain and nervous system. I’m not a scientist so I can’t give you all the medical terms and knowledge behind it but if you want to know more than I’m sure Google will have all the answers. Anyway, although Simon suffers with Cerebral Palsy, he never lets it bother him. He still tries his hardest to do everything that a ‘normal’ person can do. Sometimes things can be hard for him but he never lets his disability stop him. If it means that he has to work a little bit harder to do something than the average person does then he will do it.
I am not an easy person to deal with. I am moody a lot and often cry for absolutely no reason. But even though I’m like this, Simon is always there for me. He helps me through the bad times and supports me with my anxiety. He always looks after me and always puts me first.
Simon showed me that it’s okay to dance in the middle of the supermarket and that it’s okay to not be the same as everyone else.
I couldn’t ask for a better person to spend my life with
P.S. Sorry for the soppiness of this post..
