Hello lovely humans of the internet.
Today I decided that I would do a little chatty ‘life update’ post. I realise that I have never actually wrote a chatty post before. Nor have I ever really done a life update. I’m currently sat on a mattress on the floor of my old bedroom listening to next doors tv through the wall. This is not exactly where I saw myself a week ago.
I’ll start off by explaining about my job. My partner and I got ourselves a job in a hotel in Somerset. It was a live-in position which was perfect for us. Our dream was to work in hotels all over the UK and live-in which means it will be cheap, meaning that we can save up lots and lots of money to eventually open our own B&B. So Matthew and I started working at this hotel which was nice at first. Somerset was lovely, the hotel was lovely, and all the staff were really friendly. That was for the first few days anyway. Only 2-3 days of working in this hotel, things started to change. The big boss came and started to change how everything worked. Her and her little minions were horrible. They would insult you and make your life as hard as they possibly could. It turned into a horrible place to work. All the staff began wanting to quit. Soon after, our hours started getting reduced. Then we were expected to do ridiculous hours. It all started to get stupid.
Matthew and I had a little chat and just decided to pack our bags and leave. I was nominated to actually tell the boss that we decided to quit. We walked into the reception together and the boss came over. I literally got so scared that I began shaking. Due to nerves, I quit in the most embarrassing way ever. “We would like to quit our jobs. If that’s okay?” I will never actually know why I decided to ask if it was okay. I was going to quit anyway.
Now I’m back home in North Wales. I moved back in with my family which isn’t the best but I’m still young so it was to be expected at some point.
One day after being back home. We went and bought a new puppy. Her name is Missy. I will probably write a separate post all about Missy and the story behind her name. Missy is a 10 week old Bichon Frise. She is so lovely that I just want to cuddle her forever.
So at least one good thing came from quitting my job.
